| Marital Status: | Single | | My goal: | I was born in VN and moved with my family to the US when I was a child. We had nothing when we arrived but were able to get through because of the benevolence of others and my parents working multiple jobs while also going to school. Their efforts allowed my siblings and I to focus on schooling and live a standard early life. I consider ours a success story because we were able to surmount our meager beginnings and have every one of us obtain college degrees and build careers thereafter. I believe this has allowed me to be humble and appreciate everything that I have. I admire others who have a similar outlook and am continually on the lookout for new quality friends & activity partners. | | Free Time: | These days I am pleased to be able to pursue endeavors that bring me joy and happiness; there are many things I missed out in earlier times when education & starting a career were the areas of emphasis (perhaps too much emphasis). You cannot get the full value from life without finding a nice balance between both achievement and enjoyment. Our unique experiences are what make life truly worth living, whether it's finding an adventure in a new place, discovering a new favorite food, or simply just relaxing and watching the world go by. I appreciate the silly situations in life and think awkward moments make for a good laugh later :) | | I Am: | I strive to be an individual with a good moral compass because integrity is what makes a person. I'm open-minded and easily amused. I try to be up-front and honest because there's no reason to hide who you are and take everything too seriously. You have to be able to laugh at yourself, others, and life in general. Occasionally I see the joie de vivre in others and that reminds me to strive towards recapturing the enthusiasm for simple things in life, a quality that came effortlessly to us as children. Moments of joy can be found in just about anything such a sharing the sight of a scenic ocean sunset with another. --- I stay relatively organized and plan ahead, but certainly enjoy those spontaneous moments too! It's wonderful living in place with so many things to do, whether it be attending live indoor events or experiencing nature outdoors. I also love traveling (both domestically & abroad) and experiencing new cultures and viewpoints. The most beautiful areas I've seen are in Milford Sound and the Phuket Coast. I try to squeeze in at least one international trip a year. | | Looking For: | My only requirement for being a friend of mine is to be a good person, someone who possesses a big heart, kindness, and compassion. All essential traits are derived from this. Another important quality is to have a good mind and good perspective on life. We shouldn't expect things to be given to us and be prepared to give as much as we take. I'm a positive (glass half full) person & like to surround myself with like-minded individuals. --- I'm often asked why I have never married but have yet to come up with a good response to this question. Perhaps it�??s because I've seen too many people make wrong choices. I don't want to just get married, but to find a great partner to spend the rest of my life with. Marriage is a lifelong commitment to love and always be there for each other, not something for convenience that we only presume may turn out well. --- When I was younger I would imagine ending up like the ones I saw in movies and phim bo. But now I realize things aren't so simple. Not everything in our lives can be scripted. Some friends of mine, both male and female, have had notions of what their ideal mate would be like but instead wound up marrying people who weren't their type and they are now happy. So nowadays I no longer put parameters on what I'm looking for because, who knows, I might end up with person that I never expected to. |
